Winery: Alexandria Nicole Cellars
Wine: 2005 Cabernet Franc Rose
Region: Destiny Ridge Vineyard, WA
Price: $14.00

Industry Comments:
More than just a "Rosé Revival" this one is proof that Rosé's are back for a reason. Pleasing the palate from start to finish with layers of sexiness. The 2005 Rosé was made from Cabernet Franc and the vibrant ruby red hue of this crisp, refreshing summertime gem dances in the glass with layers of strawberry jam. This food friendly delight is full of character with hints of ripe red berries and floral tones that give way to a bright refreshing finish. Served chilled.

Winery: L'Ecole No 41
Wine: 2004 "Barrel Fermented" Semillon
Region: Columbia Valley, WA
Price: $14.00

Industry Comments:
An excellent value. It sports aromas as well as flavors of spices, honey, and pears. Medium-bodied and expressive, this well-balanced effort is silky-textured, spicy, and fruity. Drink it over the next 1 to 2 years.

Winery: Silver Lake Winery
Wine: 2003 Cabernet-Merlot
Region: Columbia Valley, WA
Price: $10.00

Industry Comments:
Earthy, peppery aromas of cassis and plum on the nose. On the palate, plum and black fruit flavors with a touch of pepper and spice. Tannins are a tad drying, but the finish is long and fruity. Cellar 2 - 3 years to soften the tannins.

Winery: Sagelands Vineyard
Wine: 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Four Corners
Region: Columbia Valley, WA
Price: $14.00

Industry Comments:
Intense nose of Bing cherry, blackberry and liquorice aromas with a delicate touch of sweet vanilla and chocolate. On the palate, dark cherry flavors and round tannins with a splash of cocoa powder on the lingering finish. Excellent balance. Although this Cabernet Sauvignon is very approachable now, it will continue to gain complexity with a few years of bottle aging.
