02/27/06 (Monday) - NW Boutique Winery Showcase
The 5th Annual NW Boutique Winery Showcase, benefiting Seattle Works, was an exceptional wine tasting opportunity. Located at The Canal in Ballard, the event featured many of Washington’s small production, or up-and-coming wineries. While we were impressed with several of the wineries/wines at the event there were definitely a few that stood out beyond the rest for their fun laidback attitudes, cool marketing ideas, low-cost approach and/or their great wines. Some of these standouts include Kana Winery, Maccallum Family Cellars, Natalie’s Estate, Saint Laurent, Two Mountain, Vin Du Lac, and Willis Hall. -MP
