Efeste Wine Cellars - 2005 Big Papa Cabernet Sauvignon
Mature vines with deep, established roots that struggle to nourish naturally produce fewer grape clusters and are slower to ripen. This combination of lower yields and long hang time creates a wine that is richer, more concentrated, and complex. This wine was names after the patriarch of the family. It begins with a huge forward bust of anise and olives, which gives into blackberries and plums, followed up with pencil shavings and ending on a beautiful floral note. Once in the mouth the velvet texture is unmistakable, the focused tannins cradle the tongue with a long finish of sweet spices and dark chocolate that makes you say yum! VIEW PDF
Efeste Wine Cellars - 2005 Final Final Red Blend
Cabernet Sauvignon is the foundation of this wine, adding vigor, structure, richness, grip and complexity. Syrah brings generous, juicy, ripe flavors and a spicy nature that blends beautifully with the Cabernet. The wine is layered with fresh Raspberries, a dense backbone of cassis and a gorgeous menagerie of black fruit, with a hint of fresh rosemary and pencil shavings. The Cab gives a suitable structure for the fleshing mid-palate and a focused finish of sweet cardamom and cola. VIEW PDF
Efeste Wine Cellars - 2007 Evergreen Vineyard Riesling
Evergreen Vineyard is our favorite source for Riesling Grapes. The cooler climate of this vineyard site is created by its higher elevation and proximity to the Columbia River and is excellent for this grape varietal. Riesling grapes naturally ripen later in the growing season, which contributes to the complex aroma and character that we love. There are also slate and mineral notes with a lovely, bright apple and citrus quality that we have always admired in great Washington Riesling. This Egested wine has a fundamentally crisp and focused mouth-feel, making it a fantastic food pairing wine. VIEW PDF

Owen Roe - 2005 Rosa Mystica Vineyard Cabernet Franc
This Rosa Mystica Cabernet Franc has elements of old-world charm and fragrance, yet its bright berry and plush richness is all new world. The three Yakima vineyards are situated on hillsides high in the western Yakima Valley. The fourth small block is from Steve Elerding’s Six Prong Vineyard along the Columbia River in Alderdale. Ripening their small crops in late October, the vineyards yielded wonderfully rich fruit flavors with nice acidity. In the winery, we’ve been careful not to employ too much new oak, trying to gently coax characteristics that are expressive of this fragrant and complex varietal. This 2005 wine has all the hallmarks of a world-class Cabernet Franc and its ripeness and power do not overshadow the delicacy of its cedar fragrance, olives and beautiful berry fruit. VIEW PDF
