In the midst of trips to the lake, BBQ’s, and plenty of wine consumption WineCOW has actually managed to get some work done this summer. We have been busy meeting new winemakers, visiting wineries, tasting wine, adding updates and new wines to the site, and most importantly preparing for the next official WineCOW PARTY!

2006 WINECOW.COM PUTT & POUR INVITATIONAL
“A Wine Party with Balls!”

WineCOW.com is closing out the summer with a bang (actually more like several subtle taps) on Saturday, August 19th with a Putt & Pour Wine Party at the Interbay Golf Center in Seattle, WA. On hand will be a great assortment of Washington’s premier wines and winemakers including Boudreaux Cellars, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Domain Ste. Michelle, O.S. Winery, Saint Laurent and Willis Hall. Come and enjoy 18 holes of putt-putt golf, food, wine and fun; all on a sunny summer afternoon from 6:30-10:30pm. This will be an unprecedented event, unlike anything the Washington wine industry has ever experienced. One that people will sure to be talking about for years to come! <MORE INFO>

FEATURED WINERY - CUILLIN HILLS & DES VOIGNE

Winemakers and brothers Derek and Darren DesVoigne, of Cuillin Hills Winery and Des Voigne Cellars, each operate their separate winery under the same roof in Woodinville’s Industrial Wine Park. And while there may be several differences between each personally and professionally they do share a common belief in offering an easygoing atmosphere to enjoy wine. From the first time we met the two brother/winemakers we knew there was something a little different about these two…in a good way. Nothing creepy. They are a pair of truly unique, fun, non-intimidating winemakers that are making some very drinkable wines!
